Voice of the Martyrs Writers Group
Shore Baptist Church Writers Group meets once a month to pray for the persecuted church and write letters to Christian prisoners. We spend time praying together and writing letters to those who suffer because they love Jesus. We use the Advocate Pack produced and updated by ‘Voice of the Martyrs’, which provides information about and postal addresses for prisoners around the world.
Letters can make a difference!
Mail sent to Christian prisoners, and to those who are being persecuted is important because it:
- indicates to authorities that we are aware of that Christian’s situation
- testifies of the love and unity found among followers of Jesus Christ throughout the world
- is evidence to our persecuted family that they are not forgotten
- can result in better treatment for a prisoner (VOM Advocate Pack p.3)
